Short answer: Not yet. MIT (Motorizzazione) is reviewing the Dutch approval but has not approved FSD (Supervised) for customers in Italy.

Tesla has filed homologation paperwork requesting recognition of the RDW approval. Under analysis; no decision.

Italy can either recognise the Dutch approval nationally, as 7 countries have, or wait for an EU-wide decision in the TCMV. The next opportunity for that vote is December 2026 (earliest). How FSD approval works in Europe (English).

When will Tesla FSD be available in Italy?

There are two routes: MIT (Motorizzazione) can recognise the Dutch approval nationally, or the EU can approve it bloc-wide in the TCMV. The earliest possible EU vote is December 2026 (earliest). No official date has been given for Italy.

How much does FSD cost in Europe?

FSD (Supervised) is sold as a subscription at €99 / month in approved EU countries (prices can differ in local currency). One-time purchase discontinued in Europe on 21 May 2026.

Which Teslas can use FSD in Italy?

Hardware 4 (AI4) only; FSD v14 Lite for HW3 not yet released in Europe. Check under Controls → Software → Additional Vehicle Information in your car.

How many EU countries have approved FSD?

8 of 27 EU states, covering about 12.7% of the EU population. An EU-wide approval needs at least 15 states and 65% of the population.
