The Czech Ministry of Transport recognised the RDW’s provisional type approval on 21 September. Minister Ivan Bednárik said safety was the deciding factor, after months of technical review, EU consultations and talks with Tesla. The review covered speed-limit behaviour, Speed Offset and contextual speed, and driver monitoring.

The move was a change of course: in June the ministry had said it would wait for the European assessment.

Customer rollout started within days. Owners in Prague reported first drives by 24 September, and the Czech configurator lists the subscription at CZK 2,400 per month. As elsewhere, only HW4 (AI4) cars are eligible.
